ROLLPIE

₺1.480
Rollpie 01 · Solid brass · 42 g

Turned from a single billet of CZ121 brass, then left unlacquered so the surface darkens with handling. The twist mechanism is a brass cam and a steel spring — no plastic in the path. Takes a standard D1 refill.

The collection

4 finishes · one mechanism

Half a turn.
That is the whole interaction.

There are two ways to get ink onto paper from a metal tube. You can push a button, which is fast and sounds like an office. Or you can turn the barrel half a revolution, which is slower and sounds like nothing at all. We make the second kind.

  1. Eleven parts, none of them plastic. A brass cam running against a steel spring.
  2. You feel the detent rather than hear it. The cam seats with a soft stop, not a snap.
  3. Machined, not moulded. Each barrel starts as a solid bar and ends as swarf and a pen.
  4. Repaired, not replaced. When the cam wears, in about thirty years, we re-cut it.

Refill pack

Three standard D1 refills, 67 mm. They fit every Rollpie, and every other twist pen that takes a D1 — we would rather you bought the cheap ones on the corner than ran out.
